Thanksgiving (CA)

There are plenty of ways you can celebrate Thanksgiving, but in the end, if it doesn’t involve food, it isn’t really Thanksgiving. Don’t be afraid to get creative here, setting up a potluck to share traditional dishes or assigning a challenge to each team. However, we are big fans of just getting it all catered.

Halloween

Who doesn’t love Halloween? At the very least, it is an excuse to put on a costume and eat candy. Of course, plenty of people are into the spookier side of the holiday, and you can certainly embrace that in your workplace.

Bring Your Child to Work Day

This holiday was started as a way for children to understand more about the working world, build their confidence, and spark curiosity that can lead them to their ideal career. And the good news is that it is easy to celebrate at your workplace. Just order lunch from a small business or set up a team-building activity from a company local to you.

National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

When it comes to winter holiday celebrations, it’s best to keep them silly and light. Wearing ugly holiday sweaters certainly fits the bill. Do it just for fun or turn it into a competition. No matter your approach, this one is certain to bring plenty of laughs.

First Day of Winter

And just like that, another season comes to a close and winter begins. While you can use this day to start planning team-building activities to start up in January, we suggest you take it easy. Use this day to talk to people, show your appreciation for another great year, and send them off on their holiday breaks feeling good about the job they do.

New Year’s Day

New Year’s Day isn’t work-focused, but that doesn’t mean you cannot find ways to honor it with your team. In addition to giving everyone the day off to commemorate another…
